Forgiveness sometimes does not always come easily, or quickly. There are actions that can seem difficult to forgive, especially if you are still suffering from the negative effects of these actions. Forgiveness does not mean that what someone did was okay. It doesn’t mean that an action didn’t matter, or that you have to allow it to happen again. It doesn’t mean that you have to invite that person back into your life. Forgiveness simply means that you recognize the valuable lessons that these experiences have taught you. Ultimately forgiveness isn’t about others at all, it is about accepting what has happened to you and moving on.
